Tri Peaks

Tri Peaks is not a sprint but a true marathon, requiring patience, planning, and attention to detail. The perfect solitaire game for those seeking a deep and challenging puzzle.

Tri Peaks Solitaire (a variant of Golf Solitaire) is an engaging card game of attention and strategic thinking. Each move opens new possibilities or leads to a difficult choice, testing your ability to plan ahead.

To completely clear all three pyramid peaks by sequentially moving cards to the waste pile.

  1. Start the Game: Click on the stock pile to deal the cards and begin the round.
  2. Main Rule: You can move a card to the waste pile if its rank is exactly one higher or one lower than the rank of the top card in the waste pile.
    • The card suit does not matter.
  • An Ace can be placed on a Two or a King, as the sequence is considered circular.
  1. Where to Move From:
    • Any fully uncovered card from the three pyramids.
    • The top card from the stock pile.
  2. Undo a Move: If you change your mind, you can always undo the last action and return the card to its place.
  3. Hint: If you get stuck, click the “Hint” button – the game will highlight one of the possible cards to play.

The scoring system rewards building long sequences.

  • Base Points: For each card moved to the waste pile, you earn 100 points multiplied by the current chain number.
  • Combo Chain: By playing cards consecutively (without using the stock pile or undoing a move), you increase your multiplier.
  • Peak Bonus: For removing a card that was at the very top of a pyramid, you get an extra +100 points.
  • Breaking the Chain: The point chain resets to zero if you draw a card from the stock pile or use the undo move function.
  • Plan Your Chains: Think several moves ahead. A long chain is the key to a high score. Alternate between ascending and descending sequences (e.g., 10 → 9 → 8 or Jack → Queen → King).
  • Conserve the Stock: Don’t reveal new cards from the stock too early. First, maximize the use of cards exposed on the tableau. The stock is your strategic reserve for when you get stuck.
  • Clear the Peaks: Try to uncover cards in the lower rows of the pyramids as soon as possible, as they block access to the cards beneath them.

Good luck conquering the three peaks! May every decision be the right one.
